S1E29 How Pain Relief Begins with Emotional Healing — with Dr. Peter DeShane
Wednesday Sep 21, 2022
Wednesday Sep 21, 2022
Have you struggled with pain, be it physical, emotional, or mental? Have you lived with what feels like maybe more than your fair share of pain? There's a famous quote. “Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.” But, if suffering is indeed optional, how do we reduce it? Through my 18 month journey of recovery after my car accident, I learned first hand that by understanding more about pain and how we react to it, we can get ourselves feeling better, potentially heal what is hurting us, and even find that our lives are better than before.
That's what I’m talking about on today's Thinking Vitamins Podcast with Dr. Peter DeShane. He is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Neurotherapist, and Chiropractor who’s been in practice for twenty-seven years. He's also someone I see as my saviour because he is the doctor who was able to get me on the road to recovery after my car accident. A meaningful accomplishment because I was in the care of other doctors for a year before I found him and wasn’t making much progress.
On this episode, you'll learn about:
- the connection between physical and emotional pain
- a technique called NET, which will rid you of lifelong limiting beliefs in a matter of minutes
- techniques to coach yourself and your loved ones to release pain faster
The end of the episode is a gift (an enlightened idea) for any parents or people dealing with young children who are acting out. Learning how to release pain is much needed skill to bring about abundance in our lives and the lives of our loved ones.

S1E28 Cultivating a Life of Purpose and Grace — with Dr. Elangovan
Wednesday Sep 14, 2022
Wednesday Sep 14, 2022
Do you ask yourself big questions like: Who am I? What is this world that I live in? What is my purpose in this world? These are important questions and answering them has everything to do with how abundant you will feel in your life. To feel abundant, is to feel as though you have as much of everything as you could possibly imagine. It is hard to imagine feeling abundant without having a strong sense of who you are and why you are here.
By answering life’s three big questions, you embark on the supreme adventure (the journey to your real Self), and cultivate a life filled with abundance and grace. My guest, Dr. Elangovan, a professor at the Gustovson School of Business and the recipient of numerous awards and honours, has dedicated his life to studying what he calls "the supreme adventure...the journey to our real Selves."
In this episode, you will learn a technique for discovering your purpose and calling, how the mind-body connection works, and a surprising way to tap into your inner wisdom. Dr. Elangovan is a world class teacher and in this episode he elegantly teaches us how to integrate the physical, emotional, and philosophical aspects of ourselves so we can cultivate lives filled with grace.
This is a life affirming conversation that I have already listened to more than once and plan to listen to many more times.
Would you like to join me on the supreme adventure?

S1E22 A Sneak Peek into the Future of Abundance
Wednesday Aug 03, 2022
Wednesday Aug 03, 2022
Pssst. I've been working on a new book. I decided to write a book about how to achieve abundance because after 10 years of working on myself, getting better, but still feeling held back and like I had more in me, I decided to write a book about it so I could figure out what I was missing. Good news. It worked! I had massive increase in abundance since beginning the project. Here's why.
The research I've been doing has led to some surprising discoveries – from science – about what we think we know about how to "improve our mindset", "raise our receiving limits" and much more. Based on my research, it's time we re-examined what we've been taught about how to heal our hearts. If you've been struggling to feel fully abundant, despite your commitment to growth and change, then check out this podcast and get early access to these ideas.
In the episode, I also announce the opening of my Pre-Reading Team as a focus group for the book. Before I announce controversial ideas like I am going to on the topic of abundance, I'm going to make sure this works for a lot of people! Would you like to be one of them? In this episode of Thinking Vitamins Podcast I give a sneak peak into why I decided to write this book and some of the ideas I'll be tackling.
Enjoy the show!

S1E21 Reconnecting to Your Creative Self — with Sylvia Humble
Wednesday Jul 27, 2022
Wednesday Jul 27, 2022
When it comes to creativity, how often have you heard "That's not a real job"? So many of my clients have come to me, later in life, to explore their real passion because they were once told or felt the societal pressure, that the creative endeavour they loved so much, was not a suitable career. My guest on this weeks episode was no different. Sylvia Humble was a trained and award winning singer who shelved her passion to take a sensible government job. After recovering from a cancer diagnosis she began questioning if there was more to life, which led her back to singing.
Not only did she get back to her passion, she created a unique business with her creative gifts. If you've been supressing your own creativity in this episode you'll learn:
- What it can mean to get back in touch with your creativity
- How out-of-the-box thinking can take you in surprising directions
- How your subconscious can help you re-ignite your passion
Enjoy the show!
